Immigration Evaluations
Overview
Tapia Blooming Therapy provides thorough psychological evaluations for immigration cases, including I-601 and I-601A Hardship Waivers, I-212 Waivers, Asylum, U-Visa, T-Visa, and VAWA, serving individuals throughout California. When you choose to complete an immigration evaluation with me, you can expect a compassionate and comprehensive process. I provide a safe, confidential space to discuss your immigration history, personal experiences, and the challenges that brought you to this point.
Language is never a barrier! I have extensive experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and languages. The evaluation process typically includes one to two in-depth, structured interviews and assessments to gather crucial information about your mental health, emotional well-being, and any trauma or hardships you may have faced.
I collaborate closely with your attorney to ensure my evaluation accurately reflects the impact of your immigration circumstances on your mental health. Based on your needs, I provide professional recommendations and, when necessary, connect you with additional support services or resources. At Tapia Blooming Therapy, my goal is to provide you with the care, understanding, and guidance you deserve throughout your immigration journey. Take the next step with confidence—contact me today to schedule your evaluation.
What to expect during your immigration evaluation
1.) During our first call, I will guide you through the evaluation process, discuss costs, address any concerns, and answer all your questions. The evaluation itself consists of a single 2–3 hour interview conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Throughout the process, we are available to you via phone, email, text, or the chat feature on our platform. Clear and consistent communication is our priority.
2.) Before your evaluation, you will create an account on our HIPAA-compliant platform, complete the necessary intake paperwork, and submit your fee. This ensures a smooth and efficient process.
3.) On the day of your evaluation, you will log in from the comfort of your home. Together, we will discuss your personal and trauma history in a sensitive and supportive manner. You will have the opportunity to share your story, including details about your family background, upbringing, current support system, mental health history, and immigration case. This is your time to speak openly in a safe, compassionate, and confidential environment.
AFTER THE INTERVIEW
Once the evaluation is complete, our goal is to deliver the written report to you and your attorney within 1-2 weeks after the interview. I will provide a copy of the report to your attorney. By working closely with your attorney, I ensure the evaluation accurately reflects how your immigration situation affects your mental health.
I encourage you to take this important step and reach out to schedule your evaluation now. Trust that we are here to support you every step of the way, providing the understanding and care you deserve.
